There are a number of places from where you can draw books. Usually, finding books is not the problem; it is finding the funds to move them.

Some sources include:

• General donations
• Organized collections from schools, churches, or community organizations
• Libraries rotating out older books
• Schools moving out older books
• Excess inventory from publishing companies

If you are running a book drive, good collection points include:

• Churches
• Libraries
• Schools
• Communities centers
• Businesses
• Recycling centers. This is the easiest location by far for everyone involved during an organized drive:
o People can drop off their recycling and used books at the same time.
o You can recycle or throw out the containers donors bring their books in.
o Clean up is easy.
o Location is well known.
o There is generally a lot of space for your volunteer crew to spread out.
