More often than not, people are always looking to help out and do good. They just don't usually have the opportunity. Now
you can give them a chance! For small, one-time book drives try tapping your friends and family first.
For larger book drives, try local community organizations such as:
-Boy Scouts
-Girl Scouts
-Local Church
-Schools
-Library Associations
-Rotary Clubs
-Larger Businesses (team-building and community service anyone?)
You may also want to try advertising volunteering opportunities on sites such as:
Craigslist Volunteers
VolunteerMatch
Volunteer Solutions
And even though your volunteers are there for just to help out, make sure to do at least the following in return for them
(and hopefully they’ll return to help you again):
-Thank you note
-Free lunch
-Drinks, snacks, or candy to keep their energy up
-Keep them updated on the arrival of the books
-Give them as much information on your mission as they want
Book drive simply do not happen without the help of volunteers.
