Fundraising can be the biggest challenge despite a well-planned collection, efficient packing and shipping, and a secure destination.
Following are a few fundraising basics:
• Asking friends and family usually works the best for smaller amounts. A polite, personal letter with a self-addressed
reply envelope works very well.
• Several websites offer some great ideas for fundraisers such as:

• Ask people to donate $1 or one quarter per book donated
• You can also reverse fundraise- cut down on your expenses. Tell anyone who you buy from or use for services what you’re
doing. See if you can get a discount, or even better, not cost at all for your good cause.
• Make sure to write thank you notes!
